Dear Stanford Graduate,
Congratulations on the completion of your Stanford graduate or professional degree! On behalf of the university, I want to share my admiration for your achievements and my best wishes for your future happiness and success.
You have worked hard and persevered through great challenges, this year especially. You are graduating at a time when the world needs talented, compassionate, dedicated individuals like you to tackle our major societal problems, including the COVID-19 pandemic and racial violence and injustice that are so prominent and urgent right now. I know the knowledge and skills you have gained while at Stanford, along with your passion and commitment, will serve you well as you venture forth in your life and career.
With your degree in hand, you are joining a robust, global community of 220,000 Stanford alumni with graduate degrees - with over 3,000 new graduates in 2019-20 alone. I hope you will continue to engage with current students, alumni, and faculty and remain part of the Stanford community. And of course my VPGE colleagues and I would love to hear from you as you reflect on your time at Stanford and have suggestions of ways we can improve graduate students’ educational experience.
Again, my heartfelt congratulations! Thank you for choosing Stanford for your graduate studies. We are proud of you and look forward to seeing what you do next!
Warm regards,
Stacey
