Jonathan Altamirano

Jonathan Altamirano is a PhD candidate in the Epidemiology and Population Health Department, co-advised by Drs. Mike Baiocchi and Clea Sarnquist. His research focuses on the impact that intimate partner violence and poor mental health have on the HIV care continuum in adolescents, and in using causal inference methodology in low- and middle-income countries. He holds a BA in Human Biology and an MS in Biology, both from Stanford University. He is also a part of Stanford’s Office of Faculty Development and Diversity, where he co-leads research across the School of Medicine on health equity and DEI initiatives.
