Victoria Grant
Victoria Grant is a PhD candidate in biology with research interests in understanding patterns of genetic diversity and their effects on species’ extinction risk. Her current dissertation work leverages whole-genome data of the black-footed cat (Felis nigripes) to investigate the correlation between genetic diversity and extinction risk, describe population structure, and analyze intra-species admixture. She is a NSF GRFP Fellow and previous CMB Grant trainee who graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Environmental science and certificate in Science & Society. Outside of research, Victoria enjoys traveling and recently took up sewing.
