You are joining a community of 230,000 Stanford alumni at a time when our world faces generational challenges – climate change, public health crises, and social inequality, to name a few. I hope you will leverage your talent, dedication, and compassion to empower others through your work as well as through civic engagement and advocacy. I also hope you will become mentors and supporters of those around you, showing what it takes to be successful and demonstrating how to care for others – exactly what it means to be part of the Stanford community.
