Developing Your Professional Digital Presence
Enhance your professional digital presence and strategically shape how others perceive you online through a comprehensive workshop series led by industry experts.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the components and steps to creating and strengthening your professional digital presence
- Apply the digital presence framework by crafting a strategy for how others will experience you online using AI tools
- Analyze and evaluate initial prototypes of digital brand stories, LinkedIn profiles, and ePortfolio pages
Program Description
When someone Googles you, what shows up on that first page of search results? Are they seeing the story (ePortfolio, profiles, images, experiences) that you want them to see? If not, what can you do to curate a digital presence that represents your key experiences, strengths, and skills and connects you to valuable and/or career-advancing opportunities and networks?
In today’s professional world, it is essential and advantageous to have a carefully curated personal digital brand story (a roadmap to how people will experience you) in multiple places online (LinkedIn, website, social media, etc.). This interactive series will guide you through the steps of the Digital Presence Framework developed by the Integrative Learning Portfolio Lab with Stanford graduate and undergraduate students since 2013. Over the course of three sessions, we will focus on:
- Session I: Tues., Oct. 15 - Your Professional Digital Presence: What, Why, & How | 4:30-6PM
- Session II: Tues., Oct. 22 - Prototyping Your Story and Evidence | 4:30-6PM
- Session III: Mon., Nov. 4 - Feedback from Peers and Professionals and Your 90-Day Action Plan | 4:30-6PM
Workshops are led by:
Helen L. Chen, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist in the Designing Education Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and a co-founder of the Stanford Integrative Learning Portfolio Lab housed in Stanford Career Education at Stanford University.
Dr. Sheetal J. Patel is a fifteen-year veteran of creating engaging insights, stories, and educational experiences that positively impact people’s lives.
